This lake brings the entire family loads of fun. I can't believe we're about to be living here with this lake at our back door.
Bring on the fresh fish! Bring on the fun! Bring on the relaxation and the beauty of nature!
Moving from Greater Houston to build a life on a farm surrounded by forest in rural country is not an easy process. This blog takes years of transition from city to country life. Farm life lessons happen every day!

I'll be envying you when I'm sweating this summer. ;-)
You all have a wonderful weekend!
Lucky you! Will you be building a dock? A gazebo? A fish-fry barbecue pit? Just think of the possibilities!
Fishing is one my favorite things to do! Love me some fried bass and crappie. I just might have to bring my rod down your way, Lana!
Man, that looks like fun. What kind of fish are in that lake? Who cleans them?
Has the Deputy finished his dry dock for the kayak, yet? What a treat to have a lake.
Fun and relaxation and food too!! How can you go wrong!! Have a wonderful weekend Lana-hopefully out in the "outback"~your land away from the city!!

Looks like an awesome day!
Linda - the lake is an awesome place to take a cool, refreshing dip.
Dreaming - we will definitely set up a fish cleaning station and we've considered putting in a floating dock. We had an awesome little john boat stolen, but we'll probably get another once we're living there full-time.
Vickie - Bring your rod, we gals would have a great time fishing together!
Charade - Bass, crappie, perch...Deputy Dave always cleans them, he's a pro at it.
Mike - I think our kayaks will definitely be fun to have at this lake. I can't wait!
Rain - it's hard to not have a good time when on our acreage, too much at our fingertips!
Clint - once we get moved, it will become old-hat to be out there, but I doubt it will ever be boring because it always feels like an awesome day in the country!
